We've all been waiting for the Carrier / Valemount Arbitration case to be settled - drum roll please - and the winner is "the workers" who will now be paid their severance. The union presented a strong case on behalf of the workers - congrats to all.
We've now, as of January 19th presented our case for Arbitration. There looks to be a lot of similarities between the Valemount case and ours here in Cranbrook. We actually may even have a stronger argument - I think our chances look very good!
