If and When Canal Mill starts up. Will we have enough employees to start up two shifts or have to many employees left ?

I heard we have lost about 15-20 employees, so a third shift at the planer is probably a NO for now.

I guess all us Tembec employees should go work for Tolko or West Fraser, at least they have Jopbs to go to.

At least with those companies we would probably be treated more humanely!!! I think that the people that run them have at least a bit of business sense!!

Bt the sounds of it, Elko is firing staff and getting ready to go back to work on the 19th....has anyone heard if canal is going back on the same day?? Or is it another example of Elko getting preferential treatment again, just like their 17 million dollar upgrade a few years ago!!!

Now that Tembec has scheduled the mills to open, i notice that the message board has fallen silent!!! I hope everyone isnt content with returning to work...remember how everyone has spent the first part of this year!!! And i truly believe that in about 6 to 8 weeks, we will be sitting around again listening to company lies and threats!!! With this being a contract year i think that we are in some serious trouble!!!!

There is a few trucks going as of today, but for only two weeks, hauling saw logs that Tembec sold to Radium, so what does this tell you??

Now that the Canal mill manager announced that he plans to retire, i wonder what our future holds??? Does he know something that we dont?? Also, who will replace him??? I heard maybe Gord Dunwell. It doesnt look good when the captain of the ship bails out first!!!
