Do we not all have a contract with Tembec? Why is the Union sitting on their ass not enforcing it. Or better yet how about breach of contract? Everyone is so scared to piss Tembec off, give the clowns some of their own medicine, Charge them. The contract we have is pretty pathetic anyways for the trucking. We are $1.00 or more per tonne hour behind Alberta and they want to cut it 10% more, not likely, we can't barely make it on what we get now. So if the mill doesn't fire by the end of May we will be taking the position offered in Alberta for the season. Tembec can piggy back their wood out, then they would deserve their huge bonuses. As for the core numbers, they are worth nothing at the bank now are they, god you couldn't even give them away right now if you tried. I think dear friends logging in this area is about at its end unless West Fraser picks it up or the employees get together and by the mill for pennies and boot Tembec out of the valley. We either stick together and beat the swindlers or we go else where to work and let the valley logging go by the wayside. Let Tembec do the sweating for a change.

Agree with you on all your points, except I'm pretty sure that you're contains a no-work gurantee clause in it that lets the company lay people off when there's no work.

There is the NO WORK GUARANTEE provision in the union contract. This is standard language, and is found under Article VII (Hours of Work), Section 7: No Work Guarantee, "The foregoing provisions of this Article shall not be construed as guaranteeing to any Employee any number of hours of work per day or per week."
