Wade, Pat, Frank, Dale, and Steph have all been let go, and they are in the works of getting a crew together to get the mill running for Tues May 19,2009. More pink slips are comming by the end of the week.

The crew will be made up of maintenance workers and some operators. They will be testing all equipment and computers to ensure a smooth startup. Most of the poeple being let go by the company are shift supervisors, and Steph the field clerk for more than 20 years.

So are these idiots Tembec starting the mill up on May 19 and for how long I thought that lumber had to be at 170 and the dollar at 80 lumber is at 151 and the dollar is at 85 it would be nice if Tembec let people know whats going on

Besides the field clerk, who are the others being let go?? I also hear that there is some sort of meeting today in cranbrook for the staff.

So it sounds like elko is going back...any word on canal??? Or is it another example of the preferantial treatment that elko gets over canal!!!!

So Tembec is goiing to start mills up may 19 to produce value added products for how long just till order at pulp mill is done And what about logging when will that start up and why is Tembec layoff so much staff they are up to no good

Has anyone heard anymore on this? I heard there were 18 on the axe list altogether in this area.
